How it works
-
Direct debit payments can be for the same amount or can change each time, depending on your bill.
-
Organisations can take regular payments from your account automatically.
-
The organisation you’re paying must let you know how much the payment will be, usually 10 days before it comes out of your account.
Help with payments
Set up, change or cancel a direct debit
Stay on top of your regular payments and learn how to set up, change or cancel a direct debit.
Set up an automatic payment
You can set up your regular payments to recur automatically, so you don’t need to manually pay a person or business each time.
Edit an automatic payment
Edit, skip or delete an existing regular payment you've previously set up to pay a person or a business.
Direct debit account eligibility
You can set direct debits to be paid from Free Up, Now, Bill Blaster, Front Runner, Back-up Saver or revolving home loan accounts. A direct debit set up fee may apply.
Some accounts don't support direct debits. If you're using an Online Call, PIE Online Call, Notice Saver or Fast Forward Saver, you won't be able to set up direct debits from these accounts.
We no longer offer Now, Front Runner, Bill Blaster, First Saver, Back-up Saver or Fast Forward Saver accounts. If you currently have one of these, you can find the relevant information about these products on our products no longer offered page.
