What you’ll pay to have your Visa Debit Card

  • $10 per card per annum (waived for the first year of the first card)

Visa Debit Card cash advance fee

When you use your Visa Debit Card to withdraw cash over the counter at another bank or financial institution

  • $6 per withdrawal

Visa Debit Card disputed transaction fee

When you dispute a transaction made using your Visa Debit Card

  • $15 per transaction receipt requested

An investigation fee may also apply

Visa Debit Card replacement fee

When you ask for a replacement Visa Debit Card:

  • $15 for standard delivery within New Zealand
  • $20 for urgent delivery within New Zealand
  • $20 for standard international delivery
  • $50 for urgent international delivery

  • Overseas purchases

    When using your card overseas for purchases or at an ATM, select ‘Credit’ and enter your PIN.

  • Set or change a PIN on your card

    You can set or change the PIN on your Visa Debit Card within the mobile app or internet banking.

  • Accounts

    Get a Visa Debit Card with a Free Up account or a Kiwibank Revolving Credit Home Loan.

  • Contactless payments

    Use contactless payments for purchases on your card or mobile device.

  • Security

    You'll be protected against unauthorised use of your card or account details with Visa's Zero Liability policy.

  • Block or unblock your card

    If you lose or have your Visa Debit Card stolen, you can use our mobile app to add a temporary block.

To apply for a Visa Debit Card, you must be at least 13 years of age, and link your card to Free Up account or a revolving home loan.
