How to make an insurance claim

House, Contents and Car Insurance

We’ve made sorting your claims for house, contents or car insurance a whole lot faster with a live assessment tool. This allows you to share photos from your smartphone while you’re talking to our claims team.

Phone 0800 222 491 , select option 1, then option 6. We're available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If you've opted in for roadside assistance, as part of your Comprehensive Car Insurance, and need help now call 0800 576 555.

If your policy was issued before 5 April 2018, it would have been provided by Tower Insurance Limited. To make a claim, call 0800 222 491 select option 1, then option 5, or fill out their online claim form.

Life & Living, Home Loan and Credit Card Repayment Insurance

If something goes wrong, call our claims team between 8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. If you're calling within New Zealand phone 0800 222 491 and select option 2, then option 2 again. If you're overseas phone +64 4 463 2199.

If your life insurance policy was issued before 14 November 2012 or your credit card repayment insurance policy before 10 April 2011, it would have been provided by Cigna Life Insurance. For claims and general enquiries, call 0800 154 805 between 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Travel insurance with your credit card

Contact us as soon as you can after something goes wrong. If you're in New Zealand call 0800 800 477, we're available 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. If you're overseas call us collect on +64 9 985 5000, we're available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
