Travel advisory
Within an approved travel bubble: If you're a Kiwibank Platinum Visa or Air New Zealand Airpoints Platinum Visa cardholder, you maybe eligible for overseas travel insurance if you meet the normal activation criteria and all other terms and conditions under the Travel Insurance for Kiwibank Credit Cards Policy Wording (PDF 297.3 KB) and travel to any location within a travel bubble approved by the New Zealand Government after the date such bubble opened. Please note there is no cover for any COVID-19 related claims or claims arising from any change in Quarantine-free travel status or the action of any government.
Outside an approved travel bubble: If you're a Kiwibank Platinum Visa or Air New Zealand Airpoints Platinum Visa cardholder and are considering overseas travel, you need to be aware that you won’t be covered for travel to, from or while staying in a location outside any travel bubble approved by the New Zealand Government (including, but not limited to, any location classified as ‘Do Not Travel’ by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT)). We strongly recommend that you check the Safe Travel website to confirm whether your travel destination is safe. You can also register your plans with Safe Travel, so MFAT can contact you in the event of an emergency.
