Changes to Foreign Currency Account Terms & Conditions - 6 July 2026
Some of our foreign currency accounts are currently hosted by Citibank on our behalf. From 7 July 2026, these accounts will move to Kiwibank systems.
As part of this change, we're updating our Foreign Currency Account Terms and Conditions.
What this means for you:
- If you already have a foreign currency account, we'll open a new account for you and close your existing one.
- Your new foreign currency account may be opened and appear in the mobile app and internet banking before your existing account is closed.
- You'll need to update your account details with anyone who sends money to your existing account.
- We’ll give you at least 30 days' notice before your existing account is closed, so you have time to make any changes.
