This is us. Where a great team matters.
Ngā Kauwaka is our culture. Together, we’ll nurture and develop an inclusive culture where we can all belong, that encourages us to do our best work through learning and growth. Our culture is about what we see, what we say and do and what we think and believe. Not only does this define how our culture supports us to put our customers at the heart of everything we do, it helps us understand the mindsets that will get us there.
I’m still excited to get up in the morning and do what I do, so I know this is the right role for me. A large part of what keeps me here is the people – we have such a great team. This really does feel like a place where I belong. I love the culture of support and acceptance – you can bring your real self to work, and that’s so important.Liz Tee, Mobile Mortgage Manager
Ngā Kauwaka / Our culture
The first kauwaka were used to hold “Ngā Kete o te Wānanga”, the three baskets of knowledge. Kauwaka are vessels that carry knowledge and mindsets that prepare, inspire and enable us all. Kiwibank has four kauwaka, each holding a different mindset enabling our team to deliver on our purpose of Kiwi Making Kiwi Better Off.
