On Sunday 30th November Kiwibank is launching its latest 'brand' TV ad, celebrating the spirit of Independence that defines not only Kiwibank, but Kiwis themselves.
Kiwibank is now 12 years old, and maintains its unique position in the marketplace as THE bank of scale that stands out from its competition.
This TVC, directed by Robert Sarkies (Waitemata Films) was filmed almost entirely at Kiwibank’s Head Office in Wellington, and features Kiwibank staff from Wellington and around the country.
The ad, set to the Kiwibank soundtrack Girlfriend by New York-based Kiwi band Streets of Laredo, shows staff gathering together various paper-based and digitally-based approval documents, scanning them to create one big artwork, printing a giant banner, then ultimately throwing the six-storey banner off the side of New Zealand Post House in Wellington.
Nicky Ashton, GM Marketing explains. "The banner, featuring the single word Independence, is made up of the evidence of the ways in which Kiwibank has helped thousands of customers get on the road to independence.
Eagle-eyed viewers will also notice that New Zealand Post House is looking fresher than it does today, and features the Kiwibank logo on its rooftop. This is a sneak preview of what the building will look like against the Wellington skyline, once the current refurbishment project is complete.
The ad will also run in cinema, and into the New Year. New content will go live on the Kiwibank web site when the ad launches, available to all, designed to help Kiwis understand better how to harness their finances to support their own personal journey to greater independence."
Kiwibank also recently launched a new content channel, inner.kiwi, which will house all of our video and written content, to work alongside our social media pages. Inner.kiwi will be a place where the spirit of independence really comes to life, by celebrating inspiring Kiwis and sharing useful info on how to become more independent, financially or otherwise.
