How it works

Automatic payments
It’s free to set up bill payments and automatic payments at any time if you do it yourself in internet banking. It’s also free to do it in a branch or via the contact centre for 30 days after you open your account. After that, it costs $5 per set up or change when done in a branch or via the contact centre.

Eligibility
To open a Business Edge bank account with us, the director of the company must be a New Zealand citizen or reside in New Zealand.

Set up an overdraft
You can apply for a business overdraft on this account to cover unexpected shortfalls. You’ll get an overdraft limit and will be able to spend up to this limit. Interest is calculated daily and charged monthly on the amount you’ve been overdrawn during the month.

Get a more complete view of your business finances by linking your banking records with accounting software like Xero, MYOB, and Reckon.

ATM/EFTPOS card
Get an ATM/EFTPOS card to access your account, with additional cards for employees who need them, as long as they are signatories on the account.

Link a Visa Debit Card
If your account is one-to-sign, you can use a Visa Debit Card to access your money. You can use a Visa Debit Card to pay for purchases in stores, online or over the phone, anywhere that Visa is accepted.
