- The set up fee waiver is only available for merchant facilities accepting both EFTPOS and Scheme cards (Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay). The set up fee waiver is not available on an EFTPOS-only facility.
- Six months free EFTPOS New Zealand terminal rental is only available to new EFTPOS New Zealand customers that sign up to a 36-month term with EFTPOS New Zealand.
- The two Kiwibank QuickPay offers of no set up fee and six months free device rental are only available to customers that sign up to a 12-month term. If you cancel your agreement with Kiwibank during the 12-month term, the set up fee and six months of the device rental fee will become payable to Kiwibank.

- A monthly Merchant Service fee will apply for Visa and Mastercard transactions. The fee includes the actual interchange1 costs applicable for each type of Mastercard and Visa transaction, plus a card acceptance fee.2 UnionPay card transactions will be charged at 1.50% of the total monthly volume of sales and refund transactions.
1Interchange is the fee that Kiwibank pays to the issuing bank of the credit card for the transactions accepted at the merchant’s facility. This is a variable fee depending on the nature of the transaction, card type and processing environment for the transaction. For further detail about interchange rates, visit the Mastercard or Visa website.
2The card acceptance fee covers other Kiwibank charges associated with processing each Visa and Mastercard transaction.
Set up your merchant facility

You'll need to set up a merchant facility to accept payments. Your merchant facility will integrate with the payment solution/s you choose, giving you the ability to accept card payments via an EFTPOS terminal, online through your website, on a mobile device through a business App or over the phone.
