Make sure that your smartphone or tablet is set up to use the QuickPay+ app.

Apple iOS app

    Check your device is eligible

    1. Is running one of the last three versions of iOS. Requirements are set by Apple and are subject to change.
    2. Has near-field communication (NFC) capability. NFC is the wireless technology that enables contactless payments.
    3. Has internet access.

    Connect to the internet

    Your device needs to be connected to the internet to use the QuickPay+ app. Connect to a Wi-Fi network or use mobile data.

    Enable location services

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap 'Privacy & Security'.
    3. Tap 'Location Services'.
    4. Toggle on 'Location Services'.

    Enable Face ID & passcode

    If you do not already have a passcode and/or Face ID enabled, you'll need to set them up on your iPhone.

    Passcode

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap 'Face ID & Passcode'.
    3. Tap 'Turn Passcode On'.
    4. Tap 'Passcode Options' to view options for creating a passcode. The most secure options are Custom Alphanumeric Code and Custom Numeric Code.

    (Optional) Face ID

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap 'Face ID & Passcode'.
    3. Tap 'Set up Face ID'.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

    Install the QuickPay+ app

    1. Visit the Apple App Store.
    2. Download the Kiwibank QuickPay+ app to your iPhone.

    You can download the QuickPay+ app once you receive the onboarding email. However, you will need to activate the merchant portal and add a mobile user before you can activate the app.

Android app

    2. Has near-field communication (NFC) capability. NFC is the wireless technology that enables contactless payments.
    3. Has internet access.

    Connect to the internet

    Your device needs to be connected to the internet to use the QuickPay+ app. Connect to a Wi-Fi network or use mobile data.

    Enable NFC

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. In the search bar, type 'NFC'.
    3. Toggle on the NFC setting.

    Enable location services

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap 'Location'.
    3. Toggle on 'Use location'.

    Enable screen lock

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap 'Security'.
    3. Tap 'Screen lock' to pick a PIN, pattern or password.
    4. Tap the screen lock option you’d like to use.
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
    6. (Optional) Follow the on-screen instructions to add a fingerprint, if applicable.

    Disable developer options

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap 'Developer options'.
    3. Toggle off the switch at the top of the screen.

    Disable accessibility features

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap 'Accessibility'.
    3. Toggle off TalkBack, Switch Access and other accessibility features.

    Install the QuickPay+ app

    1. Visit the Google Play store.
    2. Download the Kiwibank QuickPay+ app to your smartphone or tablet.
