Find your local Kiwibank
You’ll need to bring either:
- your passport; or
- your driver licence and a credit or ATM/EFTPOS card from another bank, with your name and signature on it.
Plus, a bank statement or utility bill (no more than 6 months old) printed with your name and address.

To make switching even easier, you should also bring:
- Your IRD number
- Your current bank account number, if you’re planning to switch your automatic payments and direct debits over to us.
- NZ drivers licence
- Proof of address
- IRD number
