Common questions

Why aren’t any accounts showing when I try to share my information?

If you can’t see any accounts, they may not be available for data sharing. This could be because:

  • There are restrictions on the account.
  • The account type isn’t supported for open banking data sharing.
  • You don’t have the right level of access to share this information. For example, some business users may not be able to share account information.
  • Open banking is only available to customers aged 13 or over.

If an account isn’t shown, it isn’t available to share for this request.

How do I know it’s safe to connect?

Before you authorise the request, you’ll see:

  • who is requesting access
  • what information they're requesting
  • how long you're giving access for.

Only trusted third‑party providers can connect through open banking. They must be government accredited or approved by us, and meet strict security requirements.

What should I do if I authorise something by mistake?

Withdraw authorisation immediately. This will stop any new information from being shared.

The app or service may still have information it accessed earlier. You’ll need to contact them directly if you want it deleted.
