ScamSpotter prize draw terms & conditions

By submitting the correct answer to a challenge question, participants are deemed to accept these terms and conditions.

The prize draw period

1. The Prize Draw opens on Monday 11 November 2024 6am NZST and closes at 11.59pm NZST on Thursday 5 December 2024 (the ‘Prize Draw Period’). Any entries received after 12.00am on Friday 6 December will not be eligible for the prize draw.

Eligibility

2. To be eligible for entry into the prize draw, participants need to:

• be a New Zealand resident
• be a Kiwibank customer
• be aged 18 years or over as at 11 November 2024
• correctly answer at least one of the six (6) prize draw challenge questions in the ScamSpotter Campaign.

3. Kiwibank employees and contractors who meet the above eligibility criteria are eligible to enter the prize draw, however only one of the five prizes will be awarded to a Kiwibank employee or contractor.

4. Participants may have multiple attempts at answering each prize draw question, but only one correct entry per question will be entered into the prize draw.

5. If all six (6) prize draw questions in the ScamSpotter campaign emails are answered correctly by a participant, Kiwibank will double the number of entries to twelve (12).

The prize

6. There are five (5) separate prizes of a $1,000 Prezzy Card (each a ‘prize’). A participant can only win one (1) prize.

The prize draw

7. The prize draw will take place on 09 December 2024. The winners will be the first five valid entries randomly drawn from the eligible entry pool.

8. The five prize winners will be notified via the phone number and/or email address detailed in their banking profile.

9. When contacted, each winner will be asked to provide a current form of identification to confirm they meet the eligibility requirements. They will also need to confirm their nominated New Zealand postal address for the prize to be couriered to.

10. If the winner does not confirm their nominated New Zealand postal address within ten business days of Kiwibank first making contact, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be drawn from the remaining pool of eligible entries. The process will be repeated until a winner is found.

11. Kiwibank will use personal information solely for the purposes of administering the prize draw.

General

12. Kiwibank's decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.

13. If any entry is found to be fraudulent, dishonest, or does not comply with these terms and conditions, the entry will be voided and no prize will be awarded to that participant. Kiwibank may, in its sole discretion and without having to give a reason, refuse to award a prize. Kiwibank may also take action in the future if it is found that a prize winner has been fraudulent or dishonest or did not comply with these terms and conditions.

14. Kiwibank may, without giving a reason, change, extend, amend, or cancel the prize draw or these terms and conditions at any time, and if we do, these changes will be published on our website under Public Notices either before the change takes effect or, if required by law, Information Technology or if there is a risk to Kiwibank, its employees or customers, at any time with a notification in the Public Notices section on our website after the change has been made or the prize draw has been cancelled.

15. These prize draw terms and conditions are subject to the laws of New Zealand. Kiwibank is not liable for any claim, loss or damage suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) in connection with the prize draw or any prizes offered. This may include a tax liability relating to the prize, which the winner is solely responsible for. If the winner cannot accept the prize for any reason, it will be forfeited.
