NZHL-arranged home loans

During the Prize Draw Period, when you choose an NZHL-arranged home loan with Kiwibank of $250,000 or more, you’ll automatically be entered into the Prize Draw to win one of ten $5,000 cash prizes.

The Prize Draw applies to new NZHL-arranged home loan customers and existing customers who may top up an existing NZHL-arranged home loan by $250,000 or more.

All references to an NZHL-arranged home loan on this NZHL page means a Kiwibank home loan arranged by NZHL.

The full terms and conditions are below.

The Prize Draw Period

  1. The Prize Draw opens on 16 February 2026 at 8 am NZST and closes at 11.59 pm NZST on 31 May 2026 (the ‘Prize Draw Period’). NZHL-arranged home loans need to settle within the Prize Draw Period to be counted as an entry into the Prize Draw.
  2. Ten separate prizes of $5,000 (each a ‘Prize’) will be drawn at random from all eligible entries (the ‘Prize Draw’), which will take place during the week of 8 June 2026.
  3. Winners will be notified by phone call and/or email and Prizes will be paid into the winners nominated NZHL transactional account that is linked to their NZHL-arranged home loan, ten business days following the Prize Draw.

Eligibility

To be eligible to enter into the Prize Draw, you will need to:

  1. Be a New Zealand resident aged 18 years or over;
  2. Settle or draw down your new NZHL-arranged home loan or top up your existing NZHL-arranged home loan, each with a minimum loan balance of at least $250,000 within the Prize Draw Period.

The Borrower Party* will automatically be entered into the Prize Draw on the settlement date of their NZHL-arranged home loan or top-up if this is during the Prize Draw Period.

If you’d prefer not to take part in the Prize Draw, please call us on 0800 333 238 or +64 4 382 1768 from overseas, Mon - Fri: 8 am - 6 pm.

* Each Borrower Party will only be entered into the Prize Draw once. A Borrower Party means the party that owns the NZHL-arranged home loan account, which may be an individual borrower or joint borrowers or non-personal entities e.g. trusts. For example, Person A could have a joint home loan with Person B and another joint home loan with Person C. These are two different Borrower Parties, and each Borrower Party can be entered into the Prize Draw once.

The Prize Draw

  1. Ten separate Prizes of $5,000 will be drawn at random from the eligible entries, which will take place during the week of 8 June 2026.
  2. The ten eligible winners will be notified from 11 June 2026 using the mobile number and/or email address we hold on file for the Borrower Party.
  3. When contacted by phone and/or email, each winner will need to confirm their nominated NZHL transactional account that the Prize will be paid into. The nominated account must be in the same Borrowing Parties name.
  4. If we are unable to make contact by phone and/or email within five business days from when Kiwibank makes contact, the Prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be drawn from the pool of eligible entries, and the process will be repeated until a winner is found. It is the responsibility of each account owner to ensure that their contact details are always up to date. These can be checked on the NZHL Internet Banking page and in the mobile app.
  5. Each Prize will be deposited in one payment of $5,000 by Kiwibank into the winners nominated NZHL transactional account within ten business days following the Prize Draw. The Prize will not be deposited into an overseas bank account.

If, by participating in the Prize Draw or winning a Prize results in any claim or other loss, Kiwibank will not be responsible for that claim or loss. If the winner cannot accept the Prize for any reason, it will be forfeited.

We may publish details of the winners on our website to notify all entrants that the Prize Draw has taken place and the winners have been notified.
