Completing your application

To complete your application, you’ll need to verify your identity and address. You can do this online using RealMe if you already have a RealMe verified identity. Otherwise, you'll need to visit your nearest Kiwibank. Please give us a call to book an appointment before you visit.

Using RealMe can take up to three business days to process.

At your nearest Kiwibank

Make an appointment at your nearest Kiwibank to open the following accounts

  • An account for yourself
  • An account with someone else
  • A child's account under the age of 13 years.

You can also visit us in branch if you'd like to talk to us in person about what's best for you.

What you'll get straight away

  • Once you're verified you'll:
  • have full access to internet banking and our mobile app
  • be able to transact and open accounts
  • get a non-personalised debit card.

Completing your application

To complete your application you'll need to verify your identity and address. To do this in branch, you'll need to bring two forms of ID and proof of your address with you. Please give us a call to book an appointment before you visit.
