Get your children off to a good financial start with a First Saver account.
There's no ATM, EFTPOS or Visa Debit Card on a First Saver account. It's just for saving.
Your kids will get a statement in the mail every six months.
First Saver account is available to anyone aged under 19 years. Accounts are opened in the child’s name but with different account set-up options available based on the child’s age.
You can't make bill payments, automatic payments or direct debits from a First Saver account. You can open an everyday account when your child is ready to start paying bills.
Visit us in branch to open a First Saver account for your children. Please give us a call at 0800 113 355 to book an appointment before you visit.
If you’re new to Kiwibank, we’ll need to see some ID to verify your identity and address. You can do this if you have a RealMe verified identity. Otherwise, you need to bring two forms of ID and proof of address to your nearest Kiwibank.
