Apply for the Business Finance Guarantee Scheme loan

We’ve made new lending available through the government’s Business Finance Guarantee Scheme loan designed to meet urgent liquidity and bridging finance requirements. This scheme enables us to support our business customers who are facing hardship as a consequence of COVID-19 by providing individual business loans up to $500,000 for a maximum term of three years.

  • The loan is required to meet urgent liquidity requirements while you deal with disruption caused by COVID-19.
  • You have to be an existing Kiwibank business banking customer.
  • Your business would need to:
    • Be negatively impacted as a result of COVID-19
    • Be a New Zealand-based business
    • Have an annual turnover up to $80 million
    • Not represent an excluded activity or industry
  • Any existing committed facilities with us as at 14 April 2020 must remain available for your business to draw against, up to the relevant facility limit at that date.
  • Business Finance Guarantee Scheme loans are subject to credit and lending criteria.
