Q. I have Life & Living Insurance with Kiwi Insurance, am I covered during COVID-19?"

A. If you have an existing Kiwi Insurance Life, Trauma, Income Protection or Redundancy policy, you can check your cover on the Kiwibank app.

Our existing policies don't have a COVID-19 exclusion, but the policy's normal terms conditions continue to apply. These will be different for each customer depending on the cover you've chosen and your particular situation. Please give our insurance team a call on 0800 222 491, then choose option 2 and option 2 again if you'd like to understand your eligibility further.

Q. Does my Home Loan Insurance Policy cover my mortgage payments during the COVID-19 pandemic?"

A. In order for your home loan insurance policy to cover your mortgage, you’ll need to be eligible to claim under one of your home loan insurance benefits – this applies both when we're in and out the pandemic. For example, if you have redundancy cover on your home loan insurance and your claim is accepted, then your insured home loan repayments can be covered for up to six months if you’re made redundant.
