COVID-19 Relief and Resilience programme

We’ve got a range of initiatives as part of our COVID-19 Relief and Resilience programme to support you and your business through these difficult times.


To be eligible, you must be an existing Kiwibank business banking customer who has had or will have a reduction or total loss of income due to COVID-19. Credit, lending and other criteria may apply depending on the type of help required.

Automatically applied benefits

To provide additional help and support for our business banking customers, we're refunding contactless fees on debit transactions for our merchant customers. The contactless refund will be retrospectively applied from 18 August to 30 November 2021:

  • Existing merchant customers that have contactless turned on will receive a refund of these fees when their merchant service fee is charged for the month.
  • All our Kiwibank QuickPay® terminals are contactless so if your business uses these devices you're eligible.
  • If you're using our payment solutions and wish to have contactless payments turned on email us at
