We’re working with Stepping UP to support our communities to gain digital banking skills. With them, we've developed a free module called Digital Banking.

Stepping UP digital banking workshop

Stepping UP workshops are designed to help any Kiwis keen on building their digital skills including banking online. These digital banking workshops are offered completely free of charge at selected community centres and libraries around the country.

If you’re interested in attending a workshop, please visit steppingup.nz for more information.

Taking learning to our communities with DORA

Our partnership with Stepping UP has also gone mobile with the DORA (Digital On-Road Access) bus.

DORA is fully equipped with on board wifi and solar panels to power the computers to ensure that no matter where in the country she is, we’ll still be able to help people learn. She'll be parking up close to retirement villages, community centres and other key places in the community.

DORA will be on the road around New Zealand between July 2020 and December 2020 in the following regions:

  • Northland
  • Bay of Plenty
  • Gisborne
  • Hawkes Bay
  • Taupo
  • King Country
  • Wellington.

What the workshop covers

  • What is banking online
  • How to recognise the signs of an online scam and what to do when you see one
  • How to protect yourself online
  • Tips for safe banking online
  • How to get set up with your bank
  • Learning the basics of banking online.
