First, call our Business Banking Team on 0800 601 601. When you call, we'll find out more about your business and help you decide what type of banking services will be right for you.
While you're on the phone we'll do a credit check and, if your business is a limited company, a Companies Office check to make sure it's fully incorporated.
Within 24 hours we'll send you an opening pack. This includes account details and all the terms and conditions and fees for your accounts.
The pack also includes an Account Operating Authority form. You'll need to complete and return it to us in the freepost envelope provided. If you don't already have a personal account with Kiwibank, you'll need to go to your local Kiwibank with one form of photo ID (e.g. passport or New Zealand driver's licence) and proof of address (e.g. a bill addressed to you).
Once we've received this information, and you've deposited at least $50 in your account, you're ready to go. It usually takes about four business days to get your account up and running.
Please double check that you've made the initial deposit - at least $50 - and have sent us the Account Operating Authority form with proof of identity and address. If you're sure you've done all this, please call us on 0800 601 601.
Log in to internet banking and select the Pay tab. Then click on the last option which is ‘Pay from Online Call'. From this screen you'll be able to transfer funds from your Online Call account to your nominated account.

If the funds are coming from a Kiwibank account, the process is simple and we'll set up your Term Deposit straight away.
If the funds are coming from another bank, you'll need to transfer them into your Kiwibank transaction account (e.g. Business Edge). As soon as the funds are available we'll set up your Term Deposit.
You can also go into your local Kiwibank and deposit a cheque or cash into your Kiwibank account. We'll send a certificate out to you within 24 hours of your Term Deposit being set up.
We'll send you a letter before the maturity date explaining the current rates and terms. You can either reinvest your Term Deposit or transfer the funds to a nominated account. The current rates and terms are also available online.
