What’s new in internet banking
Our internet banking is award winning – and we’re adding stuff all the time. Check out some of the most recent additions:
New general features

Pick how you want your internet banking to look!
We’ve introduced a high-contrast theme for our colour-blind customers, and a fun Kiwibank World one – with more to come in the future.
Copy & paste account numbers
You can now copy and paste an entire account number into internet banking – no more copy/pasting one field at a time!
How it works:
- Copy the account number (it doesn’t matter how it’s formatted – any spaces or dashes will be removed automatically)
- Click into the bank field (first box) and press CTRL-V (or Command-V) – right-clicking or using the drop-down menus won’t work.
Security Information
We’ve added a new security section, with handy information and links. If you spot anything that doesn’t look right to you, call us on 0800 11 33 55 as soon as possible.
Copy statement details
Enter details for your own statement – and hit copy to duplicate them on theirs’.
New apply and open features
Easyswitch
Switch your payments from another bank to your Kiwibank account.
Give us your old bank account number and we’ll move all your automatic payments, direct debits and regular bill payments to your Kiwibank account.
Open everyday or savings accounts online
Open a new everyday or savings account through ‘Apply & Open’ – and start using it straight away.
You can open joint accounts, too, if you already have another Kiwibank account together.
Open & manage your Notice Saver account
Open a new Notice Saver through Apply & Open > Investments. Once your account is open, you can:
- give notice to withdraw funds
- change the notice period of your account
- cancel an existing scheduled change
- change the account your interest is paid into
EasySwitch
Switch your payments from another bank to your Kiwibank account. Give us your old bank account number and we’ll move all your automatic payments, direct debits and regular bill payments to your Kiwibank account. We can even close your old account for you when we’re done.
We can also generate letters so you can get your income (from your employer, WINZ or Inland Revenue) paid into your Kiwibank account.
