The following are the fees you pay to have a Kiwibank credit card account (the fees you pay to have a Business MasterCard® are set out in business banking credit card fees section):
$25 every six months (waived for the first year for Tertiary or Graduate Pack customers taking up a Kiwibank credit card for the first time).
$40 every six months (waived if you’ve an outstanding home loan balance or deposits of $150,000 or more on the fee assessment date).
$15 every three months. This fee is not charged if you use your account at least once to purchase goods or services in each three month period.
$12.50 every six months.
$32.50 every six months.
$75 every six months.
The following are the fees you pay for services on Kiwibank credit cards (including Air New Zealand Airpoints credit cards). The fees you pay to have a Business MasterCard® are set out in business banking credit card fees section.
When you withdraw cash or transfer money from your credit card account.
Internet Banking Cash Advance.
Domestic Cash Advance (ATM and over the counter).
$1 per transaction.
Overseas Cash Advance (ATMs and overseas banks and financial institutions over the counter).
$6 per transaction.
When you need an emergency cash advance overseas without a card.
$52 per request.

When you use our automated phone banking and/or contact centre.

Kiwibank Low Rate MasterCard – $5 per card every six months.
Kiwibank MasterCard Gold – $10 per card every six months. We’ll waive this fee if you’ve an outstanding home loan balance or deposits of $150,000 or more with Kiwibank on the fee assessment date.
Kiwibank MasterCard Zero – Free.
Air New Zealand Airpoints Low Fee MasterCard – $5 per card every six months.
Air New Zealand Airpoints Standard MasterCard – $10 per card every six months.
Air New Zealand Airpoints Platinum MasterCard – $15 per card every six months.
When your minimum payment isn’t received by us on or before the payment date shown in your monthly statement.
$3 per late payment.
Please note when your monthly statement shows an amount due immediately, any payment you make will be applied to this amount before being applied to your minimum payment. This means that you must pay both amounts to avoid being charged this fee.
When you exceed your maximum credit limit. $5 each month in which your balance has exceeded your maximum credit limit.
When you ask us for a replacement credit card. $10 per request.

The minimum payment is either 5% of the closing balance of your monthly statement or $10, whichever is greater. You are not required to make a minimum payment if your closing balance is less than $10 (unless we specifically ask you to) or a credit amount. Minimum payments must be made each month (if required) on or before the payment due date shown on your statement.
You may at any time make additional payments over and above your minimum payments. You can make payments to your credit card account in any of the following ways:
a) by automatic payment, bill payment or direct debit;
b) by internet, mobile or phone banking;
c) at your local Kiwibank; and
d) by mailing a cheque to us and enclosing a completed payment slip from the bottom of your monthly statement.
We may at any time require you to immediately pay us all or part of the outstanding debit balance on your credit card account.
