With a fixed rate loan, you may pay up to 5% of the outstanding balance of your fixed component at the date of payment, less any other payments over and above your minimum repayments that you have made in the current calendar year during a fixed term, either by a lump sum repayment or by increasing your regular repayment amount. As long as you stay within the 5% limit, you won’t be charged the lump sum repayment fee or fixed rate break cost.
