    Kiwibank internet banking for business lets you easily switch between your personal and business accounts—and you only need one login and password combination.

    Log in to internet banking and set your default account group from the drop down box. This will be the account group you’d like to see first each time you log in to internet banking.

    To change your default account group select Login options from the Account view box at the top right hand side of your internet banking window. You’ll be taken to the Account view screen.

    Select the default account group you want using the drop down box. Select Save to make this the account group you see first when you log in.

    To quickly switch between account views while in internet banking, select the account group you want to see from the Account view drop down box. This box is near the top right hand corner of your screen in every internet banking page.

    The screen will automatically refresh and show the account details for the group you selected.

  • Data users

    Data users are people in your business who input data but have limited authorisation to transact.

    Each data user has a unique login and password. If you’re a Business Banking Administrator you can create, edit or delete data users. You can also manage their level of account access and choose which accounts they’re able to view.

    In the Your settings & services menu select Manage data users. This will take you to a new screen. You can add and manage access for data users from this screen.

    There are two types of data user: Data entry users—who can view account details, modify payees and create pending transactions which require authorisation from a second person before they can be processed. Data view users—who can view account details.

    In the Current data users table select the down arrow next to a name to view a summary of that person’s access levels. From this screen you can quickly edit or delete a data user’s access.

    To add a new data user select Add a data user.

    You’ll now see the Add data user screen. Complete the user details and select the levels of access you’d like the user to have for each account.

  • Transactional users

    Transactional users have full access to business accounts. After a single login they can access their personal accounts and any business accounts they have authority over.

    As a Business Banking Administrator you can create, edit or delete transactional users. You’re also able to manage their access to your business accounts and choose which accounts they’re able to view.

  • Transactional users

    There are two types of transactional users: Principal users—who have full authority over the account. They can open and close accounts and add or remove non-principal users. Non-principal users—who have authority to perform transactions and request information about the account. They can’t open or close accounts, or add or remove other signatories from the account.

    In the Your settings & services menu select Manage transactional users. This will take you to a new screen. Select Maintain transaction limits.

    You can manage the limits that each transaction user can spend on payments they create. This can be a specified value, no limit, or you can stop them from transacting.

    In the Transaction limits table click on the arrow next to a users name to view a summary of a transactional user’s limits. You can apply different limits to each user.

    Once you’ve finished making changes select Save changes. You’ll be asked to confirm the changes you’ve made.

    In the Your settings & services menu select Manage transactional users. Select Edit next to a users name to go to the Edit transactional user screen. You can now change the level of access the selected user has.

    Once you’ve made the changes, select Next page. You’ll be asked to confirm the changes you have made.

    After giving a transactional user access to your business credit cards you’re able to change their transaction limits and access.

    In the Your settings & services menu select Manage transactional users. This will take you to a new screen. Select Manage credit card account access. You’ll then see the Maintain transactional users account access screen which displays a list of all your business credit cards.

    You can see a summary of your user’s limits by selecting the drop down arrow next to each credit card in the Account access table.

    You can change these access levels by selecting the Edit button.

    From the Data user account access table, edit the access levels for the selected card either by individual user or by applying an access level to that card for all transactional users.

    Once you’ve finished select Next page. You’ll be asked to confirm the changes you’ve made.

  • Batch payments

    A batch payment lets you upload multiple payment files from your accounting package e.g. salary payments. To register for batch payments please call us on 0800 601 601.

    You can choose to see the batch payment as one line on your statement showing the total value, or view each individual payment, that makes up the batch, as a separate line.

    In the Pay & transfer menu select Batch payments. This will take you to a new screen. In the Batch payment options table select Upload batch payment. You’ll then see the Upload batch payment screen.

    Select Browse to attach your exported accounting package file. When the correct batch file shows in the Batch details window, select Submit.

    Note: Your file will be sent to the bank and checked for errors. You’ll receive an email from Kiwibank advising of errors and how you can correct them. If there aren’t any errors you’ll be emailed a batch number and confirmation of the batch upload.

    Once you’ve attached and submitted the file from your accounting package you’ll be taken to the Batch payments screen.

    You’ll see a status report on your batch payment as well as an explanation about what happens next. If the status is Pending validation this means the payment engine is working to make sure that all of the information in the file you’ve uploaded is valid. Kiwibank will send you an email if there are any problems with validation.

  • Multiple payments

    A multiple payment lets you make many payments to people or organisations on one screen. You can do this in two ways:

    1. You can make a one-off multiple payment
    or
    2. Or you can make a multiple payment from a template you’ve already created and saved.

    In the Pay & transfer menu select Multiple payments. This will take you to a new screen.

    Select Make multiple payment. You’ll then see the Make multiple payment screen. Enter the payment and statement details.

    You can make a new multiple payment or make a multiple payment from a saved template. Select Next page.

    Enter the recipient’s details.

    Select Add someone to enter details for an individual or business, or you can select a saved payee. If you create the payment from a saved template all information will preload. Check and confirm the details or edit the information in the payment template.

    The Make multiple payment screen will show you the details of the payee you’ve added. You can continue to add more recipients. You can also make this a one-off multiple payment, or save it as a template.

    When you’ve finished adding recipients select Next page. You’ll be asked to confirm the changes you’e made.

  • Pending payments

    A pending payment is a payment which has been created by a user but needs to be approved by one or more signatories on the account before it can be processed.

    A two-to-sign account is a business account which needs approval by two authorised people before the payment can be processed.

    In the Pay & transfer menu select Pending payments. This will take you to the Pending payments screen.

    You’ll see pending payments that are waiting to be authorised by you as well as any pending payments that are waiting to be authorised by someone else in your business. To see more information about each pending payments select View.

    You’ll be taken to the Pending transaction screen where you can view additional details of the payment. You can see who created the payment and who still needs to confirm the payment.

    If it is a two-to-sign account there may be more than one name in the Waiting on field.

    To approve the pending payment select Back to pending payments and then Authorise. The payment will then be processed on it’s due date.

  • Payment history

    After a batch or multiple payment has been made from your account you’re able to see a record of the transaction in your batch or multiple payment history.

    In the Pay & Transfer menu select either Batch payments or Multiple payments depending on which type of payment history you want to see.

    Select View history or View batch payment history depending on what payment screen you’ve come to.

    Select the account you’d like to view from the drop down box. When you select an account the page will automatically refresh to show you the payment history details.

    Expand each payment by selecting the down arrow next to the payment.
