Email and TXT alerts

Kiwibank's alert service helps you keep track of your finances. Alerts advise you by email or text message of transactions on your account(s).

There are five kinds of alert:

  • Under balance alert - lets you know when your account balance falls under a certain amount
  • Deposit alert - lets you know when you receive deposits over a certain amount in a day
  • Automatic payment failure alert - lets you know when a regular automatic payment or a one-off payment you set up couldn't be paid from your account on the set date
  • Automatic payment dishonour alert - lets you know when a regular automatic payment or a one-off payment you set up has dishonoured
  • Direct debit dishonour alert - lets you know when a company tried to take a direct debit from your account but it dishonoured

To set up the alerts service, log in to internet banking and select 'Alerts' from the Services tab. If you're not an internet banking customer call us on 0800 601 601 to register. Service fees apply for receiving TXT alerts.
