Kiwibank wins award for mobile banking

Kiwibank's mobile banking service has won the prestigious "Mobile Application of the Year" category in the Telecommunication Users Association of New Zealand (TUANZ) Innovation Awards.
The TUANZ Awards recognise and reward New Zealand innovation in telecommunications. All of the Awards are presented to products or services originating or provided in New Zealand.
When it was launched in 2006, Kiwibank's mobile banking application was the first of its kind in New Zealand and included features not previously available anywhere in the world. It broke new ground in offering New Zealanders, for the first time, the ability to make real-time banking transactions from their mobile phone.
