Kiwibank buys heaps!

Kiwibank now totally owns the “heaps!” online personal financial management and budgeting application following a buy out of its partner, Social Capital Ltd.
Kiwibank Chief Executive Paul Brock said heaps! had proved to be extremely popular and had won a number of awards.
“We worked closely with Social Capital to develop and launch the system three years ago – and it’s satisfying to see a young Kiwi entrepreneur like Tim Norton achieve the successful sale of this award-winning system. Kiwibank will now own and promote heaps! to all New Zealanders.”
Mr Brock said the terms of the buy out are confidential, but that the bank and Social Capital had been extremely pleased with the impact heaps! has had on increasing financial literacy and assisting bank customers to manage their income and expenditure and achieve financial goals.
