Five in a row for Kiwibank
27/09/2010
Kiwibank has been recognised as New Zealand’s best value bank, winning the 2010 Sunday Star Times Canstar best value bank award for the fifth year in a row, adding to the awards it won in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
The award recognises the bank that provides best value for money across a range of financial services and products.
Chief Executive Paul Brock said wining the award was a huge achievement.
“Good value and excellent service are the foundations stones on which we built Kiwibank. It is hugely rewarding for all of us at Kiwibank to be recognised as best value bank, not just once, but five times in a row.
“It is interesting to se just how competitive it has become to win the best value award. This indicates that the value of banking services has significantly improved for all bank customers in New Zealand. I think Kiwibank can take some of the credit for challenging the foreign-owned banks to sharpen their pencils and improve their performance.
“The challenge now is keep of providing value for our rapidly growing customer base. And what better reason would a customer have to switch to Kiwibank than it being the best value bank?” Mr Brock said.”
