Kiwibank wins best value bank for fourth time

Kiwibank has made it four from four by earning the mantle of Sunday Star Times Canstar Bank of the year for 2009, adding to the awards it won in 2008, 2007 and 2006.The award recognises the bank that provides best value for money across a range of financial services and products. According to the Sunday Star Times, “Kiwibank’s sharp pricing remains key to prising customers away from the big Australian-owned banks”.
Paul Brock, acting chief executive of Kiwibank said: Winning is an endorsement of what we set out to achieve, which is to make a difference to the way New Zealanders bank.
“We set out to deliver the best value across the board. It is not just about unique groups, but value across all of New Zealand.”
Kiwibank won nine of the 17 different product categories and scored second or third in another four.

Best fixed home loan; Best floating rate home loan; Best line of credit home loan; Best personal loan; Best 90-day term deposit; Best online savings account; Best junior account; Cheapest credit card and Best transactor card.
