Kiwibank sends more money to assist Victoria bushfire victims

Kiwibank has today sent an additional $45,000 to the New Zealand Red Cross to assist victims of the bushfires that have affected thousands of people in Victoria, Australia. This brings the total sent by Kiwibank to $145,000.The campaign was launched late last month by Kiwibank Chief Executive Sam Knowles. “The public has been extremely generous and it is very satisfying to be able to assist our Australian neighbours at such a distressing time,” Mr Knowles said.
The Kiwibank collection has now ended and the account has been closed. All monies received were sent to the Red Cross.
