$100,000 given to Victoria bushfire appeal

Kiwibank has transferred $100,000 to the New Zealand Red Cross appeal to assist victims of the bushfires in Victoria, Australia.Kiwibank launched an appeal to raise funds two weeks ago with an opening donation of $50,000 from Chief Executive Sam Knowles’s budget.
“There has been a very generous response from Kiwibank customers, staff and the general public to the appeal and we are pleased to make a progress donation to the Red Cross of $100,000 with we hope lots more to come,” Mr Knowles said.
The appeal through Kiwibank outlets will remain open for at least another two weeks.
